Amberjack

Locally called “Gof”, the Greater Amberjack is one of the largest species in the Carangidae family. It has an elongated, silver body with a distinctive amber stripe running along its flank. Amberjack inhabit offshore reefs and wrecks, feeding on squid and smaller fish. In Croatian cuisine, Amberjack is esteemed for its rich, flavorful flesh and is commonly prepared grilled or baked, often accompanied by Mediterranean herbs and vegetables.
